A BULAWAYO man is on the run after he allegedly swindled a city company of more than $375,000 using fraudulent documents at the High Court.Wishes Nyoni of Fortune’s Gate suburb, who is a co-director but non-shareholder at Eyeland Trading, allegedly misrepresented himself as the company’s secretary and got majority shareholding of the firm between January 2012 and April 2015 until he caused its liquidation.

The sole shareholder of Eyeland Trading lost $375,186 as a result.

Bulawayo police spokesperson, Inspector Mandlenkosi Moyo said police were looking for Nyoni in connection with the case that saw him allotting 750 shares of the company to himself.

“Nyoni who is a co-director and non-shareholder at Eyeland Trading proceeded to the company’s premises at Tredgold Building. He misrepresented himself as a secretary and acquired a CR2 form which is an allotment of shares document,” said Insp Moyo.

“Using the fraudulent CR2 form, Nyoni proceeded to the registrar of the High Court and sought the liquidation of Eyeland Trading private limited.”

He said the liquidation prejudiced Eyeland Trading of $375,186.

“Nyoni is believed to be somewhere in Zambia. I appeal to members of the public with any information on his whereabouts to contact the police,” added Insp Moyo.
