AT least six social soccer teams will compete at the ACE De Souza Properties Easter tournament to be held at Barham Green (BG) Sports Club on Saturday.Chronicle, ZBC Montrose, Donnington Police Station and an academy from Barham Green are some of the teams that have confirmed that they will participate in the competition.

Alison De Souza, proprietor of ACE De Souza Properties said the Easter tournament is part of his social responsibility programmes and is meant to bring people together.

“Registration is underway for the Easter tournament set for BG Sports Club. It will be a good family day and we just want to bring the people of Barham Green and surrounding areas together. As a company, we’re happy to be supporting the community through sport,” said De Souza.

Registration fee for each team is $20.

The team that will win the tournament will take home $200 with the runners-up getting $100. There is $50 for the team that will finish third.

De Souza said they have also organised five-a-side tournament for children.

The ACE De Souza Properties will also bankroll an annual Tarryn-Leigh De Souza Memorial tennis tournament which will run from April 9-11 at Bulawayo Athletic Club.
