AN onslaught by AB de Villiers and Hashim Amla paved the way for a Proteas victory over England in the second T20 international at the Wanderers. The Proteas claim the series 2-0. After England had posted 171 all out in their innings, both De Villiers and Amla batted with attacking intent, never letting the bowlers settle at any opportunity.

England captain, Eoin Morgan tried to stem the flow, using a wide variety of his bowling arsenal, but De Villiers (71 off 29 balls, 6×4, 6×6) and Amla (69* off 38 balls, 8×4, 3×6) were unrelenting in their partnership of 125 in just 8.2 overs.

De Villiers eventually fell, caught in the deep of Adil Rashid, but the damage had been done with the Proteas cruising home to win by 9 wickets.

Earlier in the day, England, driven by a fantastic partnership by Jos Buttler and Morgan, looked set to post a total of over 200, but 7 wickets for just 14 runs saw them collapse to be bowled out in the final over of their innings.
