ORLANDO Pirates are set to welcome their former coach Roger De Sa as he’ll be leading Ajax Cape Town for the Telkom Knockout Cup quarterfinal clash at Orlando Stadium tomorrow night.
To the goalkeeper and captain, Senzo Meyiwa, the game is not about their former coach because he (De Sa) won’t play.

“Yeah, Roger was here and we used to plan together but now he’s on the other side and that’ll be tough,” said Meyiwa.

“But in football coaches don’t play, Roger will not play on the day so as much they’ll come here with a plan, we’ll also plan.

“We’ll plan against them because we know how the coach likes to play in certain phases of the match.

“It’ll be a very nice match and I’m hoping to be at my best because we can’t lose at home.”

The Buccaneers beat Polokwane City 2-1 to progress through to the quarterfinal while the Urban Warriors defeated Mpumalanga Black Aces 3-0.

The Mother City side’s coach says Pirates will be focused, motivated and playing at home means they’ll be pumped up.

“When Orlando Pirates come off a loss they’ll be more motivated and focused. They are also playing at home, which means they will be pumped up,” said De Sa.

“It’s going to be important that we play well for 90 minutes or even more if the game goes to extra time. Good teams will punish you if you let them in.” – SuperSport
