AKA’s diss track Composure hit 100,000 downloads on its first day of release. It seems the beef between AKA, who recently started calling himself “Super Mega” and his rap rival Cassper Nyovest, is far from over. On Compsure, AKA has a lot to say about his relationships with his ex, DJ Zinhle, Nyovest and his Boyz n Bucks crew Riky Rick and Anatii. The track clearly hit the right note, and social media was abuzz with #Composure.

Apparently referring to Cassper, AKA raps: “When it rains it pours. Understand with me, when it’s war, it’s war. Thinking back you wasn’t even national yet. Matter of fact, I used to be a fan of your s**t. Young king I should’ve took you under my wing, instead I let you under my skin.

“Such a pity you can’t dance on a verse. I know you play like you humble, but we’re just one and the same. All this talk about God, I’mma show you hell. Ain’t gonna treat your ponytail like it’s a holy grail. That’s the problem with you new school cats — you took your whole style from Malumkoolkat.”

And when it comes to his split with DJ Zinhle, he says: “We were so in love like an idiot.”

But, the diss track seems to have been received with less than mild enthusiasm by Nyovest who opted to indirectly respond to the song.

A few hours after the track, which has received wide airplay and thousands of downloads leaked — Cassper tweeted an image of himself in a business meeting, discussing his moves to fill up the Dome with 20,000 fans on October 31.

“Loading . . .,” he tweeted then he started retweeting Sizwe Dhlomo, who asked why AKA had not responded to Cassper’s Beef track last year. “Why wasn’t this beef handled on wax way back then? When Cassper dropped Beef for example, what did cats say?” Dhlomo also enquired why AKA had made up with Cassper last year only to reignite the bitter rivalry between the two.

“You can’t fake a truce, only to later engage when the timing suits you. That’s my only problem with it. Give us the real!” Cassper went on to state: “The past month has been the most stressful blessing ever.” Addressing Composure, he said: “#Composure, presence of mind, self-assurance.”

About AKA, he called him lame, tweeting that his upcoming concert has inspired him to make music. “#FillUpTheDome got these lames inspired to make music!!! October 31st!!! Get your tickets now & let’s make history!!!”

Ricky Rick on the other hand responded with a track of his own. In it, he insists he tried to bury the beef between the two rappers. Feedback to his track on social media has, however, been lukewarm with some wondering why he responded since he was not exactly insulted. —DailySun/ ENCA/Showbiz Reporter
