“Funkalicious”.
The gig will feature international and Harare DJ’s rocking the decks for party-goers.
Matthew Vamdoorem of Alliance Francaise said they were happy to celebrate 60 years in song and dance.

“We are pleased that we have managed to maintain our co-relations and this will continue helping in the learning of both cultures,” he said.
Vamdoorem said to date they have managed to establish a dynamic institution that has become a cornerstone of our cross-cultures.
He said this year’s event was bigger and better as fans were going to be thrilled and a lot of fireworks are expected.

“We have invited highly talented deejays from South Africa namely DJ Kid Fonque, who is greatly known for Electro, dubstep and hip-hop.
“There is also to be a live performance by renowned Kenyan group Gargar whose songs are uniquely traditional blended with modern beats and soulful rhythms,” he said. The organisation, which is best known for conducting French classes, is expected to host the party at the same venue this weekend.

Also a part of extravaganza is local DJ Marv Studd, who has been rocking up some of the biggest parties in Harare and Victoria Falls promised to offer the best in music.
“Funkalicious” is now in its fifth edition and this time it will be bigger than ever as it will also be part of the Alliance Francaise anniversary celebrations. Like all the previous Funkalicious, tonight will be a night of good sound, fun and networking.

Alliance has succeeded in asserting itself as a local organisation, helping the community to learn French and also catering for anyone who is willing to learn.
