BLISSFUL Enterprises has adopted Mpilo Central Hospital’s A2 Ward and pledged to assist the institution in improving health standards in the ward.
Speaking after visiting the A2 ward yesterday, Blissful Enterprises managing director Cephas Mweyamweya said his company had started repairing furniture in the ward.“We are in the process of refurbishing the ward and we have repaired the furniture at a cost of $1,300. We have also donated linen worth about $3,500 comprising of 108 comforters and 54 bed sheets,” said Mweyamweya.

He said his company understood the plight of hospitals as it was in the medical business.

“We are in the medical field supplying drugs and other hospital equipment and we are fully persuaded by the word of God which entails that we help the less privileged.

“We are doing this as part of our social responsibility and we are ploughing back to the community,” said Mweyamweya.

Mpilo’s A2 Ward caters for surgical patients who require medical operations.

In his acceptance speech, Mpilo’s chief executive officer Dr Lawrence Mantiziba expressed gratitude for the support organisations have made in responding to the hospital’s plea for help.
