DETHRONED Miss World Zimbabwe Emily Kachote has turned over a new leaf, turning to motivational speaking, where she will use her unfortunate ordeal to empower other young girls.

Kachote, a 25-year-old financial advisor, was fired by the Miss Zimbabwe Trust two weeks ago for allegedly having nude pictures. She was replaced by her 1st Princess – Anne Grace Mutambu.

In an interview with Voice of America’s Blessing Zulu on Saturday, the model said: “I’m a motivational speaker and love empowering young girls. I want to share with them that you might get bruised, but that doesn’t stop you from striving and becoming who you want to be,” said Kachote.

She said a strong support system from family had kept her going.

“You always have a choice to either cry over what happened and let the world crumble around you or you take everything by its horns and move on.”

The model who was said to have given three different statements about the alleged nude pictures vehemently denied giving the said statements. “I didn’t give three different answers. According to them (Miss Zimbabwe Trust), they chose to believe what they wanted to believe or what would work for them. The truth is, I never posed for anyone nude. If there’s a picture of me out there then I’m the victim,” she said.

She blamed the Miss Zimbabwe Trust for their failure to carry out extensive investigations on the issue before reaching a decision to sack her overnight.

“If they had done their investigations properly, they would’ve found out that it all comes to one thing, that I’ve never posed for nude pictures,” said Kachote.
