ONE of the country’s top DJs, Flevah (real name Tendai Tembo) yesterday left the country for South Africa for a performance in the Big Brother Hotshots House tonight.

His appearance in the House could not have come at a better time because he will be celebrating with the two Zimbabwean housemates, Butterphly and JJ, who are guaranteed another week in the House as they are safe from eviction this Sunday. It will even be more reason for JJ to celebrate as he was initially nominated for eviction but survived as he is this week’s Head of House.

Before departing, Flevah promised to do his best on the decks, saying Africa would be in for a great treat.

“I know a lot of people think I only play dancehall music but that is not the case. I play a variety of music so I have packed something for everyone.

“I have also taken a lot of local tracks which I hope to also market to the world after playing them well tomorrow. It will be an hour of serious partying, not only for the housemates, but even for BBA viewers,” he said.

But Flevah was not a happy man when he left as he was sad to be embarking on the life-changing journey alone without the other half of his act, chanter Etherton B who was not invited. Judgement Yard’s act is completed by Etherton B who will be riding on songs with his chants.

“Travelling without MC Etherton is not the same but he will be with me in spirit, jamming in the Big Brother House,” said a saddened Flevah.

Flevah, who is the fourth DJ to play in the House this year, will be on the BBA decks for strictly an hour tonight between 10 and 11PM. Fortunately for him, last week’s DJ Izzy from Botswana had a tough time on the decks, making it easier for Flevah to convince Africa that he is a better DJ. Izzy hit the notes right though when he played Freeman’s Shaina and Seunononga which were instant hits among the housemates.

Flevah follows in the footsteps of Raydizz and Davies Mugadza who have played in the BBA House.
