BIG Brother Hotshots Zimbabwean housemate JJ escaped eviction showing that Southern Africa pulled together to eliminate West, East and Central Africa from the game. On Sunday night, three housemates were evicted by Africa leaving 21 to fight another day for the $300,000 prize money. The ever twerking Lilian from Nigeria, Sabina from Kenya and Ester from Uganda were all sent home by Africa. The three housemates were evicted as per the tie-breaker rule because they received one country vote each. This brings to five the number of women that have been evicted in two weeks as Resa from Zambia and Mira from Mozambique were both evicted last week.

According to the results JJ who has been up for eviction for the past two weeks survived the chop as five countries Botswana, South Africa, Malawi, Zimbabwe and Mozambique voted for him

JJ had the highest number of votes from Africa followed by Nigeria’s Tayo who received three country votes from Ghana, his home country and Rest of Africa. Permithias from Namibia received two country votes. There are now 12 housemates from the Southern African region and nine from East, Central and West Africa. According to the Big Brother Africa rules, if the popularity vote does not yield clear evictees and there is a deadlock between two or more housemates, the percentage vote from each of the 15 regions will be added together and divided by 14 in order to generate an across-the-board percentage, which will then ascertain who stays and who goes.

Reasons given by fans of BBA for evicting Lilian was that she was always twerking which became abhorrent. With every opportunity Lilian would bend over and twerk for cameras and men in the house. Twerking is a type of dance in which an individual, usually a female, dances to music in a sexually provocative manner involving thrusting hip movements and a low squatting stance.

However JJ is up for possible eviction this week after his group lost the extravaganza challenge.
He received four nominations with Laveda from Tanzania and Nhlanhla from South Africa receiving eight and 11 nominations respectively.

Nhlanhla was yesterday saved from the chopping block as he has been chosen as head of house. Butterphly is still safe from eviction because her group won the extravaganza challenge.

Tanzanian Laveda is not a favourite in the house with most housemates saying her mood swings and tantrums were annoying and unbecoming for someone vying for the grand prize.
