FORGOTTEN urban groove songstress Betty Makaya is back in studio working on a new song.
Famed for the 2000 “anthem” Kurwizi which featured the late Jamal, Makaya – who is now based in South Africa – gave fans a glimpse marking her return through a short video of her in studio.
The last time she was in studio was in 2013, nearly a week after Jamal was buried in Mutare when she released the songs Maybe and Chokwadi.
Speaking from her South Africa base, Makaya who had taken a break from music, said she had been focusing on other aspects of her life. She however, said after getting into the studio in Harare earlier this month, she was tempted to record a song that she is yet to name.
