PRINCE of Mzansi rap AKA has the world at his feet! The multi-award winning star has grown from strength to strength with a nomination for the upcoming MTV European Music Awards (EMAs), proving that he has the magic touch.

The star, whose real name is Kiernan Forbes, is in the running for the Best African Act, along with Nigeria’s Davido, Yemi Alade, Tanzanian Diamond Platnumz and DJ Arafat from Ivory Coast.

AKA said: “It’s with great pride and excitement that I’ve been informed about my nomination for the 2015 MTV EMAs to be held in Milan, Italy.

“It’s always a pleasure to represent my country and my continent at the highest level.”

Beautiful singer Taylor Swift is leading the way with a record-breaking nine nominations, including Best Song, Best Video and in the new category, Best Collaboration for her smash hit song Bad Blood, featuring rapper Kendrick Lamar.

Other nominees include Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Major Lazer & DJ Snake, Pharell Williams, Sia, Kendrick Lamar, Drake and Kanye West.

The glittering ceremony will take place on 25 October. It will be hosted by global superstar Ed Sheeran with gorgeous Australian-born actress Ruby Rose.

The awards ceremony will be broadcast live on MTV (DStv channel 130) and MTV Base (DStv channel 322) at 10PM from the Mediolanum Forum in Milan on October 25. – Daily Sun.
