THE organisers of the Bob 92 Zifa Super Cup have rescheduled the tournament which was suppose to kick off on Sunday at Barbourfields Stadium.

In a dramatic turn of events, last year’s winners Dynamos refused to travel to Bulawayo where they were due to meet Highlanders in the first leg because of unpaid prize money from last year. This forced those putting together the tournament to bring in Caps United but with Highlanders seemingly reluctant to take on Makepekepe, the organisers had no choice but to postpone the tournament to a later date which has not been announced.

Charles Mabika, spokesperson for the organisers confirmed late this afternoon that the planned match had been called off because they realised that new arrangements did not suit all concerned stakeholders.

Mabika expressed his disappointment with the turn of events and stressed that the main cause which triggered the turn of events, that is Dynamos raising the issue of their unpaid prize money was beyond their control as the organisers.
