TWO Bulawayo artistes shone in Harare when they scooped awards at the Zimbabwe Hip Hop Awards which saw Peekay emerging as the biggest winner at a ceremony held on Wednesday evening.POY, who was nominated in three categories, managed to grab the Video of the Year award, shrugging off competition from Noble Styles, MMT and Mudiwa. DJ Mark Vusani, who was nominated in two categories, won the Best Promoter of the Year award for his platform, It’s bigger than hip hop.

Calvin, the Babengakholwa hit-maker was disappointed after the category he was nominated in, Upcoming artiste of the year award was won by Peekay of the Ma1 fame. Peekay also won the Best male artiste of the year, Best Newcomer and Song of the Year for Ma1 which features BaShupi.

People’s choice by public vote – Tricky J
Best Producer – Simba Tagz
Lifetime Achievement – Mizchif
Best Solo Dancer – Tanaka Roki
Best Dance Group – DNA
