TRIANGLE FC today travel to Luveve Stadium  to play How Mine with their confidence  high after defeating Bantu Rovers 3-2 last  Sunday.Coach Biggie Zuze witnessed his side’s porous defence of captain Blessing Chimwamuchere, Charles Rukwanhi, Jimmy Tigere and Zimbabwe Under-20 captain Praise Tonha concede two soft goals which almost earned the miners a point away from home.

Substitute Richard Kawondera ensured maximum points with a last minute goal for the sugar boys.

Triangle had all the reasons to smile after struggling for a while.

How Mine, who denied table toppers Highlanders a win, should provide the visitors with all sorts of worries.

The gold miners held Highlanders to a goalless draw and are expected to come out guns blazing in search of maximum points.

Zuze had no kind words for his defenders whom he accused of conceding soft goals.

The lapse of concentration saw Bantu Rovers forwards making no mistake past Triangle goalkeeper Ronald Mudimu.

Zuze is however optimistic that thereturn of solid centreback Chastern Ndongonda who has been out of action for more than a month due to injury, will stabilise his defence.

Zuze has a wider pool to choose from with former Chiredzi FC defender Jimmy Dzingai also ready to play for his new paymasters should he be selected.

“I am not happy with the way our defence concedes soft goals.  This is one area we have been trying to  address but the very same problem is still haunting us.

“However, I am happy that Chastern who has been out due to injury will be up for selection ahead of our next assignment. We also have a wider selection base which has been boosted by our new signing Jimmy Dzingayi,” said Zuze.

In their first clash, 10-man How Mine lost at Gibbo Stadium 2-0.

The miners are seventh on the table with 23 points while Triangle are 12th with 20  points.

Caleb Masocha, added to the How Mine books recently, will be expected to take off the weight of expectation from the country’s second leading goalscorer Kuda Musharu.

The lanky Gweru-born Musharu has not scored in two months.

The absence of Menard Mupera is also being felt in the How Mine engineroom.

Thembani Masuku, enterprising Eddie Muzanenhamo, Gilbert Banda and dribbling wizard Timothy January carry Philani Ncube’s hopes.

But before this clash Bantu Rovers will have clashed with FC Platinum in the first live match of the day at Luveve.

For a neutral football fan this is probably the match to watch as the two teams play an exciting passing game.

They make football look so simple though their biggest challenge remains their failure to create clear cut chances.

Of the two, FC Platinum have more experienced players and that could be a key factor in the outcome of the game though bubbling youthfulness could carry the day.
