CAGE fighter Elvis “Bulawayo Bomber” Moyo has started preparations for his June 6 EFC Africa heavyweight fight against Congolese’ Ricky Misholas at Carnival City, Johannesburg, South Africa.

This will be the Zimbabwean heavyweight pugilist’s second fight of the year and he is hoping to register his fourth consecutive win which will enhance his chances of getting a title bout.

Moyo’s last fight was a win in February against Lance Cerenio at Carnival City.

In a telephone interview from Johannesburg yesterday, Moyo said he has been working on ground tactics which were giving him a problem.

“I’m struggling to get opponents and this is frustrating because the longer I stay without getting into the ring, the more I get rusty. My next opponent is Ricky Misholas of Congo and I’ve already started preparing for the bill. I take all my customers seriously and that’s why I’ve started training this early,” said Moyo.

The Bulawayo Bomber registered his victories against Sors “Guru” Grobbelaar in his debut cage fight in March last year, went on to overpower Wilhelm “Tiny” Strauss in August and Didier-Kilola in November.

Cerenio was Moyo’s last victim.

The Bulawayo Bomber’s defeats were against Brendon Groenwald in May and Andrew Van Zyl in July.

Going into the June 6 bill the odds favour Moyo who has been more active in the ring since last year having fought six times.

Misholas was on the losing end on February 21, going down to Cyril Asker. Last year he had two fights, winning against Dewald Botes in May and losing through a technical knockout to Didier-Kilola.

Misholas has eight career fights, three wins against Paul Kietzmann, Botes and Strauss. He lost five times to Grobbelaar, Mahmoud Hassan, Ruan Potts, Didier-Kilola and Asker.
