UNHERALDED Bulawayo based musician Floppy X (real name Mxolisi Lunga) will early next month release his debut solo album titled The X Factor.

Floppy X who came second in the Ingwebu ICypher on Skyz Metro FM and has done a voice over for the popular cartoons Byo Show since 2014, said the 16 track compilation will have songs that include Kunguwe, Ngidakwa Ngihambe NgeFace and Inkomo Zami that features AWA.

He will launch his album at Stop Over Bar with performances from Cal Vin, Mzoe 7, DJ Skaiva and dance crew Anti Virus on October 7.

“I’ve worked on quite a number of musical tracks and my debut solo album will have 16 tracks.

“These will include Kunguwe and Inkomo Zami which I worked on in 2016. My year 2017 release Ngidakwa Ngihambe NgeFace will also be included in the album. I promise to release a whole lot of albums as it does not take me long to work on a particular song. I can release an album every month,” said the 25 year old former Plumtree High School pupil.

Inkomo Zami has proved to be a popular track and it recently topped the Skyz Metro’s musical charts for six consecutive weeks.

“It’s my wish as a Bulawayo based artiste to carve a name in the local arts industry. I believe with the ideal exposure and mentoring I can scale dizzy heights. It all needs a collective effort for one to get recognition,” added Floppy X.

He is looking forward to working hand in hand with established Bulawayo based artists that include Cal Vin, Dj Skaiva, Khuxman and Jeys Marabini.

His manager Stephen Ngwabi said Floppy X was talented and creative.

“There is so much creativity in Floppy X. He can do anything anytime as he has done impromptu skits that many have developed soft spots for. In that regard he clinched a deal with Bulawayo’s Skyz Metro.  Just like a number of Bulawayo based artists Floppy X is a brand that needs recognition,” said Ngwabi.
