Harare Bureau
The Ministry of Information, Media and Broadcasting Services yesterday announced that the next sitting of Cabinet will be on Monday.
The ministry quoted Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Misheck Sibanda in a statement saying the Cabinet sitting would take place at the usual venue and time.

“The Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Dr Sibanda, wishes to advise Cabinet Ministers that the next Cabinet sitting will be on Monday June 8 at the usual venue and time,” read the statement.

Cabinet traditionally sits on Tuesdays, but the sittings can be shifted to any other day if there is pressing business on a Tuesday.

Since the beginning of this year when President Mugabe assumed the African Union chairmanship, Cabinet meetings have been held on days other than Tuesday due to the President’s busy schedule.

President Mugabe is also the chairperson of Sadc.
