CAPS United coach Mark Harrison has been granted a work permit setting the stage for his long awaited arrival. Makepekepe chief executive officer, Joe Makuvire, confirmed the development last night in an interview with this publication. “The immigration department has finally confirmed that his (Harrison) work permit is now ready for collection. As a club, we are now working on his relocation but we expect him to begin work on Monday,” said Makuvire.

Harrison, who has been in his adopted country South Africa, penned a three-year deal with Makepekepe but has not been part of the pre-season training camp because of the work permit, leaving the team in the hands of Brenna Msiska and Fungai Tostao Kwashi.

The presence of former Highlanders assistant and acting coach Mark Mathe at the Green Machine training sessions fuelled speculation that even the club gurus had since given up on Harrison.
