CHELSEA have announced the signing of Loic Remy from Queens Park Rangers for an undisclosed fee. The 27-year-old France striker has signed a four-year contract at Stamford Bridge.
“When I heard Chelsea wanted to sign me I said, ‘Let’s go’ straightaway, because they are one of the best clubs in the world,” Remy told chelseafc.com. “I remember the amazing atmosphere at Stamford Bridge when I played there for Marseille and I can’t wait to play for the first time in front of my new fans.”

Remy moved to the Barclays Premier League in January 2012, joining QPR from Marseille and struck six goals from 14 matches but was unable to prevent the side getting relegated. Last season he went on loan to Newcastle United where he scored 14 league goals in 26 appearances.

He is Jose Mourinho’s sixth signing of the summer after Cesc Fabregas (Barcelona), Mario Pasalic (Hajduk Split), Diego Costa, Filipe Luis (both from Atletico Madrid) and Didier Drogba (Galatasaray). — BPL
