ahead of their tour in Mafikeng for the International School of South Africa volleyball festival scheduled for this weekend.
Chisipite will be making their debut appearance at the three-day tournament that will run from Friday to Sunday after they were invited by the organisers of the event.

The tournament is targeting Under-19 teams.
Seed Co yesterday presented the team with tracksuits.
The seed company will also cater for the team’s travel incidentals.

Speaking at the presentation of the tracksuits to the team, Chisipite’s teacher, in charge of volleyball, Martha Banda said they were grateful to Seed Co for coming on board to support their team.
“We are very grateful to Seed Co, they have assisted us to make this trip possible.
“This is an annual event but it is our first year to be invited.

“This is actually our first volleyball trip and it is going to inspire other girls in our school to join volleyball.
“We are looking forward to this exposure and it is an opportunity for them to grow, learn and get experience,” said Banda.

One of the team captains, Ropafadzo Mashiri said they are looking forward to the competition.
“We are really excited and we are looking forward to it. We are going to meet different schools and we are going to learn quite a lot from them.

“It is an opportunity for us to get exposure,” said Mashiri.
Seed Co public relations and communications manager, Marjorie Mutemererwa, said sport brings people together and there was need to support events like the tour by Chisipite.

“We are excited to be part of this development. Sport unites, educates and brings people together.
“We are excited that the girls are going to be the pioneers in this tour.
“Our interventions are focused on children, those who have and who do not have. They need to realise that the country is behind them.

“This has more to do with national pride. There were a lot of travel incidentals and we have taken care of that.
“They are not going there as exclusively Chisipite girls but they are representing Zimbabwe,” said Mutemererwa.
The team is set to leave for South Africa on Thursday morning and they will be back on Sunday night.

Their coach Artwell Gororo and team manager, Tafadzwa Tadi, will accompany them.
