PREMIER League champions Dynamos will have a substantive head coach to take over from history-making Callisto Pasuwa before Christmas, a club official has confirmed. The news comes amid revelations that assistant coach Philliom Mutyakureva and long serving goalkeepers’ coach Tichaona Diya have received letters informing them that their romance with the Glamour Boys ends at the end of this month.

In a letter seen by Chronicle Sport to one of the assistants, the coaches have since been asked to submit their applications if they still want to be part of the Dynamos technical team.

“We’d like to inform you that your contract will be expiring on the 31st of December 2014 concurrently with that of the head coach. The board of directors and the executive committee would like to appreciate the work you did over the last three years.

“Should you wish to renew the contract you are required to submit your application which shall be considered among other applicants,” read the letter which was signed by secretary general Webster Chikengezha.

Pasuwa announced his departure from Dynamos through the media but later met with the club gurus.

“Our deadline for applications is December 15 so that we’ve enough time to go through the interviews and by Christmas we should be having a substantive coach. He should have enough time to familiarise with the history and culture of the club,” said Chikengezha in a brief hint that the Harare giants might be eyeing someone who has no previous stints with the club.

Zambian Kelvin Kaindu is odds on favourite to take over one of the hottest seats in local football with information gathered yesterday also bringing into the radar former Warriors gaffer Ian Gorowa.

Gorowa is said to be a close ally of Dynamos boss Kenny Mubaiwa while Chikengezha is said to be pushing for Kaindu to take over.

“I don’t want to mention names or whether we want a local coach or foreign,” said Chikengezha.

On rumours that they have long wanted Pasuwa out, the secretary general said his executive actually wanted the outgoing coach to continue with his job.

“For your information, we had a meeting with Pasuwa early September where we asked him to prepare his 2015 work plan, that alone shows a vote of confidence in him but we were later shocked when we read in the papers and later saw him on television saying he has done his time,” said Chikengezha.
