ENTREPRENEURS in the city have been offered an opportunity to expand their income base through network marketing by selling Aloe Vera beauty products.
Chiedza Chakawanei, a business woman and entrepreneur, engages local unemployed youths and women to sell her Aloe Vera products for commission.

“Bulawayo has a lot of unemployed people, we are offering an opportunity for more people to be self-employed.
“I acquire Aloe Vera beauty products from Forever Living Products, a company in South Africa. I then engage entrepreneurs and vendors to sell on my behalf for a certain commission. The more one sells the more money they are awarded. For instance, if one sells ten aloe sanitizers worth $100, they gain $20,” she said.

She said so far she had at least 15 entrepreneurs selling the products.
“So far I have fifteen people who sell these products. Some of them were previously unemployed but now they are able to fend for their families,” she said.

Chakawanei said the aloe products were popular with professional women.
“Women find our products more appealing than men because we have lotions, sanitizers and tooth pastes all made from aloe Vera.”

Chakawanei said plans to increase the number of people she was assisting were high.
“Crime is increasing each and every day because people are not employed. I wish to assist more people in order to sell these products in order for them to gain more income for their livelihood,” she said.
