CAPS United are leading the scoring charts in the league and will be boosted by the return of free-scoring forward Simba Sithole.

But the Mighty Bulls have a rock solid defence, which has conceded only one goal, built around Themba Ndhlovu and Godfrey Moyo with veteran goalkeeper Marlon Jani getting better with age.

Antipas yesterday said Motor Action, who welcome back midfielder Thembani Masuku, Milton Ncube and Passmore Bernard from injury, are looking forward to Saturday’s clash.
“It looks like this is going to be an interesting match because it has all the ingredients of a good game.

“We will give it our best but we are going to treat the match with due caution. CAPS have been playing well and have been scoring goals.
“We need to be on our guard and we are hoping for good results,” said Antipas.

He added that Motor Action have their sights on this year’s championship.
“It’s early days yet but one thing for sure is that we want to be in there with a great shout at the end of the season.

“We are the defending champions and although we lost some of our players during the off-season we managed to get good players to replace.

“Our emphasis is on team work and we are coming up good,” said Antipas.
CAPS are hoping to turn the tables on their opponents who dominated their meetings last year after succumbing to a 4-2 home defeat and 1-0 away loss.

Premiership newboys Chicken Inn are also lurking in the shadows and could ghost into pole position with a victory over Zimbabwe Saints at Luveve on Saturday.

Chicken Inn, who briefly led the tables last week, are in second position with 13 points from six matches.
Harare giants Dynamos will be out to continue with their revival when they meet Monomotapa at Rufaro on Sunday.

DeMbare rose to eighth on the table following the 5-1 thrashing of Masvingo at Rufaro on Sunday. But the Glamour Boys’ camp has been plagued by injuries to some of their key players.

Defender Guthrie Zhokinyi, captain Desmond Maringwa and midfield strongman Milton Makopa joined Thomas Magorimbo on the casualty list and will again not be available for selection this weekend.

Dynamos finally paid their players their March salaries on Monday and the club’s leadership has promised to pay the April salaries tomorrow.

“The mood in camp is good right now and we have all been boosted by the win over Masvingo United and there is a commitment by the executive to pay us,” said one of the players.

Another interesting duel is expected when high-flying FC Platinum host Blue Ribbon at Maglas on Saturday.
