The city of Gweru came alive on Friday as several artistes toook turns to entertain music lovers at Midlands Hotel.
Jah Prayzah, Winky D and Tarasina Chibaya,Terminator and several dancehall artistes performed at the event.Chibaya was the first to take the stage and the afro jazz artiste did well to introduce herself to fans.

Songs from her new album Zvakarongeka proved popular among fans. Terminator who is currently riding high with his song Tinofamba NaMwari thrilled fans. He was energetic throughout the night leaving fans asking for more.

He paved way for Winky D who managed to keep fans on the dance floor with his hits.

At the peak of his perfomance, Winky D randomly called fans to the stage to sing his tracks and he “collaborated” with a number of talented voices from the crowd.

His manager Jonathan Banda said the musician has planned something bigger for his fans this year.

Jah Prayzah was the last performer of the night.

He introduced his new songs Dindingwe and Chipo Changu from his forthcoming album Jerusarema.

Fans enjoyed the songs and asked people to play them over and over again. The musician said he was happy with the response to songs from his upcoming album that he has been sampling at his shows.

In a separate interview the musician’s manageress Filda Muchabaiwa said they are putting final touches to the new album.

Partson Chimbodza who organised the show praised the people of Gweru for being peaceful.

“With such crowds we would’ve seen some cans being thrown on stage but they’ve enjoyed the show peacefully,” said Chimbodza.

He hailed the artistes for being professional at the show.

“They all came in time and they’ve performed according to their contracts. If all artistes behave this way at their shows, we will have a good industry,” he said.
