NIGERIAN superstar Davido and South Africa Afro house duo Mafikizolo are set to perform with Jah Prayzah at his eighth album launch in October.

The album that is yet to be named will first be launched in Harare on October 13 followed by another launch in Bulawayo the next day. The Harare launch will be graced by Nigeria’s superstar – Davido whom the Tsviriyo hit-maker featured on track – My Lilly while the Bulawayo launch will feature SA’s Mafikizolo who featured on another track – Sendekera.

Event organisers, 2 Kings Entertainment said they were still deliberating on venues for the two shows and had since partnered event gurus, 3D Events to help with the organisation of the Bulawayo album launch.

“We haven’t agreed on venues for the two shows as we ideally want spacious spots as the launches will be big. We’ve partnered 3D events who’re running around and trying to secure a spacious venue like Queens Sports grounds,” said Dee Nosh of 2 Kings Entertainment.

He said if all else fails, they will be left with no option but to hold the launch at the Large City Hall grounds.

Dee Nosh said they were also in talks with Davido to have him make an appearance in Bulawayo though he said Mafikizolo’s slot had been confirmed.

“Mafikizolo will definitely be performing with Jah Prayzah in Bulawayo but we’re still trying to convince Davido to also come there,” he said.

Last year, Jah Prayzah’s seventh album launch – Mudhara Vachauya was graced by Tanzania’s Diamond Platinumz who featured on blockbuster hit Watora Mari. The two shared the HICC stage. A day later, Jah Prayzah went it alone when he launched Mudhara Vachauya in Bulawayo.

This year, however, fans are guaranteed to witness Mafikizolo live on stage, two years after the duo last performed at the Kalawa Homecoming Party at Queens Sports Club.
