DYNAMOS have agreed to pay their former coach Callisto Pasuwa and his assistant Philemon Mutyakureva after they appeared before an arbitrator yesterday. The club also undertook to change ownership of the motor vehicle used by their former coach into his name. If they default again, the club risks having their property attached as an arbitral award is likely to be given next week by the arbitrator, M C Kare.

The award can be registered as a court order which means Pasuwa and Mutyakureva can attach any Dynamos property, should the club fail to honour their undertaking.

The arbitrator is also expected, next week, to determine whether Dynamos would have to incur the costs of the arbitration.

Pasuwa’s lawyers argued that the former coaches were forced to take the matter through arbitration after the Harare giants had failed to honour its part of the bargain.

Dynamos now owe Pasuwa $15,454.

They also owe Mutyakureva $2,450.

The club failed to honour the agreement they struck with Pasuwa and Mutyakureva before Labour Officer, Lilford Nhandara, in March 2015, prompting the coaches lawyers — D C Dhumbura and W Magaya of Coghlan, Welsh and Guest — to revisit the matter and drag the club before an arbitrator.

Yesterday, Pasuwa’s lawyers confirmed that the club has agreed to pay and clear the debt.

“Basically Dynamos have agreed to pay the amount agreed on at the conciliation stage, they want to clear the arrears that Dynamos Football Club have accrued.

“For Mutyavareva (Philemon) they are also in arrears and they have agreed to pay the outstanding amounts.

“They have also agreed to change the ownership of the car which Pasuwa used from Dynamos Football Club into their former coach’s name.

“We have also asked them to pay legal costs as the team’s intransigency has dragged the matter this far,” said the lawyer.

Dynamos secretary Webster Chikengezha, and their football administrator Jairos Chikomo appeared on behalf of the club and conceded to the claim made.

However, Chikengezha pleaded with the arbitrator not to award costs as the club was not financially sound.
