Dynamos 2 – 0 How Mine
DYNAMOS have qualified for the One Wallet Cup final after dismissing How Mine at Mandava Stadium yesterday.
They will now meet Triangle United.
The Glamour Boys needed a strike from hard working right back Blessing Moyo who scored a beauty in the 13th minute and   former Caps United son Washington Pakamisa’s 56th minute effort to silence How Mine.

Moyo, who was enterprising the whole afternoon, moved forward to help in attack. He reacted to a rebound from Walter Mukanga and the result was a top drawer goal.

He unleashed a ferocious right footer that whistled past the stocky goalkeeper Ephraim Mazarura hitting the roof of the nets.
Mazarura never saw it.

“I feel great in scoring and the goal helped me build my confidence. I promise more goals,” said Moyo.
Moyo cleared an effort from Kudakwashe Musharu in the 25th minute for a corner kick.

Pakamisa drove the final nail in the gold miners’ coffin when he won possession and went past the How Mine defence which was at sixes and sevens. He   found himself in the box and turned the miners’ defenders inside out before powering a shot that Mazarura could not stop. Anesu Gondo could have added a third in the 75th minute but luck smiled at How Mine.

Gilbert Banda won the ball all alone near his area and instead of clearing it away he wanted to cover it so that it trickles out to earn a goal kick.

During the process he fell on his own and the alert Gondo got the ball and charged towards goal. He dribbled past goalkeeper Mazarura and instead of laying the ball to an unmarked Ronald Chitiyo and Pakamisa, he chose to be selfish and blasted his effort into the stands with a yawning goal in front.

The Dynamos team manager Richard Chihoro was ejected from the bench when he remonstrated  with the fourth official after a lunge on Pakamisa  that went unpunished by Bulawayo-based referee Philani Ncube.

Tafadzwa Rusike was again to miss a golden opportunity in the 54th minute when he was sent through by Devon Chafa who stood well on his defensive role but the young striker sent his effort to the skies.

Chikurupati’s chance of getting an equaliser fell in the 66th minute when substitute Caleb Masocha went past captain George Magorimbo and powered a shot that Mukandi tipped for a corner. He again made a double save from the resultant corner kick that How Mine failed to utilise.

Three minutes later How Mine were again on the offensive when former Dynamos midfielder Wonder Sithole  reacted to a pass from Masocha but the midfielder shot wide with Mukandi to beat.

How Mine coach Luke Masomere was happy with the way his players fared.
“We played very well but failed to convert our chances. I am really pleased with the show although we were sloppy in defending but the performance was very pleasing. I now have direction and I hope I will win our next league game,” he said.

His counterpart Callisto Pasuwa was on cloud nine.
“We had the intention of winning and I say thumbs up to my boys. We were just slow in recovering when we lost the ball. Rusike missed a number of chances but he was very aggressive upfront and Blessing’s goal was one of the best,” he said.
