Explosive encounter expected as Makomo meet Amagagasi

The blood and thunder clash between leaders Makomo FC and runners-up Amagagasi tomorrow at GVZ Stadium is expected to be a thriller in the Zifa Matabeleland North Division Two League. It is beginning to look like a two-horse race. The teams are separated by four points. If Makomo win tomorrow and judging by the way they are determined to grab the big prize, gangly player/coach Tapela Ngwenya and company can as well start stocking champagne bottles to pop at the end of the season party to celebrate their feat.

If Amagagasi are to silence the miners, then it will be game on as the lead will be cut to just a single point to leave the Ndoga Nyoni-coached lads with a huge psychological advantage going into the decisive stage of the marathon.
A draw will only serve to heighten tension and prolong the suspense between both sets of supporters.

Ngwenya and skillful Lloyd Chimuchenga carry the hopes for the miners while Lungile Nyathi and Marshal Alvera hold the torch for the colourful Amagagasi outfit.
Away from the top of the table contest, Ingagula welcome unpredictable Baobab Rovers at Chakona Stadium where many teams have come out with nothing but tears. Third placed ZRP Hwange, who are slowly fizzling out of the championship race, travel to the resort town to face Zambezi Lions at Chinotimba Stadium in an early kick-off match which the policemen need an outright win to remain with a mathematical chance of a league title.

Later in the day at the same venue, Brazil have to prove to everyone that their transformation is for real as they face Victoria Falls Tigers who are arguably the most stubborn team in this league especially at home.

In matches lined up for today, Iwisa welcome Prison Eagles at Old Stadium while at Madumabisa Stadium a cracker of a match is expected as a fired up Fire FC lock horns with Kamandama Celtics in a local derby.
