The boy, Mayibongwe Sibanda, a Grade Four pupil at Lukhanyiso Primary School in Matshobana went missing on 27 May and was picked up by a resident who took him to the police three days after his disappearance.

Narrating her ordeal to Chronicle yesterday, Ms Anna Magagula, Mayibongwe’s grandmother, said he stormed out of the house when she told him to do his schoolwork.

“I last saw him two weeks back and what scares me is that he also ran away from the police who were intending to bring him back home. He left home barefooted without a word and no one knows his whereabouts,” said Ms Magagula.

She said her grandson was last seen wearing a long sleeved light green T-shirt, a red short and was barefooted.

“I am appealing to anyone with information that may help us to locate my grandson to contact me on 0772 976 471 or visit the nearest police station. They can also visit us at House Number 49 in Matshobana,” said Ms Magagula.
