Netsai (24) made headlines in October last year when she was arrested together with her co-accused and sister, Sophie (26), their cousin, Rosemary Chakwizira (28) and a male accomplice, Thulani Ngwenya (24), when they were found in possession of a plastic bag filled with 30 used condoms after their car was involved in an accident.

The condoms, which had semen in them, were recovered in Sophie’s car while a pornographic disc was also discovered in Netsai’s bedroom in Riverside suburb, Gweru.

The three have a pending case in the courts where they are facing 17 counts of sexually assaulting male hitchhikers on the country’s highways.

Netsai, who together with her accomplices are on bail over the sexual indecent assault charges was on Thursday hauled before Mrs Msipa over charges of possessing a pornographic disc.

She pleaded guilty and was fined $50.

For the State, Mr Bonwel Balamanja told the court that on 10 October 2011, Netsai was arrested and detained in police cells.

Mr Blamanja said on the same day, police detectives, who were investigating a case of sexual indecent assault against men by Netsai proceeded to her place of residence.

The court heard that a search was conducted in Netsai’s bedroom leading to the discovery of one pornographic DVD written “Love Scandals 9”.

Mr Balamanja said the disc was played at the police station in the presence of Netsai and was seen to have contained some pornographic material.

Further investigations revealed that Netsai was the owner of the disc. The pornographic disc was produced in court as an exhibit.

Meanwhile, Netsai’s two other accomplices in the alleged sexual indecent assault on male hitchhikers, Sophie and Chakwizira, spent the greater part of the day on Thursday roaming around Gweru magistrates’ courts trying to secure the $50 fine for Netsai.

Netsai was dragged to the holding cells by prison officers after she failed to pay the fine.

Her sister, Sophie, who had accompanied Netsai to the courts, could be seen texting and trying to call friends on her mobile phone in an apparent bid to try and save her sister from being sent to Whawha Prison.

By close of business on Thursday, Netsai was still in police holding cells at Gweru magistrate’s courts with prison officials still waiting for their vehicle to take convicts and some suspects back to Whawha.
