Former Generations actor Thapelo Mokoena was involved in a hit and run. In a Facebook post, Mokoena explains that he went for an evening run on Tuesday night on the streets of Vanderbijilpark South in the Vaal just before he fell on the road. When he woke up on the side of the road, he was bleeding from his head, arms and legs.

“I’m disorientated, shouting at the man helping me. He keeps saying, ‘I’m calling an ambulance, you’re badly hurt’,” Mokoena wrote.

Mokoena continues to share what the witness of the incident said happened as he did not see anything. According to the two street rubbel collectors, a red Audi was driving on the fast lane and changed to the slow lane to knock Mokoena out of the road and got back on the fast lane before driving off.

The witnesses further identified the perpetrators as two white men.

Mokoena has been admitted to hospital as he was badly injured, as a result he has not reported the case to the police.

“Now obviously none of the above took place as this is day 4 in hospital dealing with pains, trying to fight internal bleeding & not being able to sleep and I still have no clue who did this to me and why.”

He has since sent a message of appreciation to those who wished him well.

Mokoena landed the role of Gabriel, the bodyguard of Karabo Moraka (played by Connie Ferguson), on the SABC1 soapie Generations. In the show he famously (and scandalously) had a torrid love affair with Karabo.
