IN a report carried by The Chronicle of Wednesday, April 15, “Cheda law firm shut down”, we incorrectly stated that lawyer Nqobizitha Ndlovu had “surrendered his practising certificate”. The same report also stated that Ndlovu was “accused of defrauding home-owners using forged documents.” Both these statements are innacurate.

Ndlovu was suspended by the Law Society of Zimbabwe for interfering with the curator’s work after the other two partners of Cheda and Partners, Sindiso Mazibisa and Mlamuli Ncube, surrendered their practising certificates. It is Ncube, and not Ndlovu, who is facing a criminal investigation for defrauding home-owners.

We apologise unreservedly to Ndlovu for the error – Editor.
