THE Zimbabwe Netball Super League has penalised Glow Petroleum for fielding an unregistered player. This was in a match they played against the Zimbabwe Defence Forces.
The army team has since been awarded two points with Glow losing as many after a hearing held recently.

Agnes Chiroodza, the fixtures secretary of the Zimbabwe Netball Association, confirmed that Glow had fielded Delphine Agree, a player who moved from Hwange Colliery, without being cleared by her former team and the association.

“Glow Petroleum fielded Delphine Agree who moved from Hwange Colliery without clearance from her former team and the association and they have been penalised,” said Chiroodza.

The teams are supposed to follow procedures when players transfer.

A player must be cleared by both the association and her former team before playing for their new sides.

In this weekend’s games, Khami will clash with Hwange Colliery in Bulawayo and ZDF.

Table toppers Zimpost will be visiting second placed Tenax with high hopes of maintaining their lead which is under threat from their hosts who trail them by two points.

City of Harare will be hosting Waruwaru.
