A NATIONAL Joint National Council (NJCN) meeting between Government and Apex council was postponed after Government’s negotiators failed to constitute a quorum.

The Government and its employees were scheduled to meet on Wednesday to deliberate on the 15 percent salary increase offer.

In an interview, Apex council secretary general Mr David Dzatsunga yesterday said the meeting was shelved after some of the Government’s negotiators did not attend the meeting.

“The meeting was postponed to a date to be announced. Government’s negotiators did not form a quorum.

“We don’t know where they were. Maybe some of them were committed somewhere else,” he said.

Government on Monday proposed a 15 percent salary increase to all its civil servants and unions were expected to inform their members before accepting or rejecting the offer. —@nqotshili
