A 13-YEAR-OLD Tsholotsho boy waylaid three girls as they were coming from school and indecently assaulted them before raping them in a bush.
The boy, a Grade Six pupil who cannot be named because of his age, had to be taken to a safe place after villagers threatened to kill him following the incident.

The pupil appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Mark Dzira facing three counts of rape and indecent assault.
He was convicted on his own plea of guilty to the charges.

The boy was referred to the Juvenile Court which is expected to send him to a reformatory.

Prosecuting, Tinashe Dzipe narrated how on November 1, 2013, the boy saw his three victims from a distance as they were coming from school. Two of the girls are aged eight while the other is aged seven.

The boy then pounced on them in a secluded area.

“When the three girls got close, the boy came out of hiding and confronted them. He then force marched the girls to a secluded place in the bush where he ordered them to remove their panties while threatening to assault them if they refused to comply. The boy went on to thrust his fingers into their private parts before raping them in turns,” said Dzipe.

The boy fled the scene soon after the rape.

The three girls proceeded home and reported the matter to their parents who in turn made a police report leading to the boy’s arrest.

The court heard that viillagers threatened to kill the boy hence he had to be taken to a safe house until his appearance in court yesterday.
