Dance Finals for the next two years.
This follows the group’s rowdy behaviour at the weekend during the final of the Zimbabwe’s Finest Dance group.
The group, which could not take defeat lightly, started attacking the judges saying that they had rigged the results and the organisers had to call for security to calm the situation.
The group came fourth in a competition that had five teams.
The director of the Zimbabwe’s Finest Dance Group and also a dancer in his own right, Adonis Muronzi, said the suspension of Gravity is a sign that they do not tolerate such kind of behaviour in the dancing industry.
“We had to suspend Gravity to send a clear message to other groups and tell the corporate world that this is a serious competition that is built on discipline and mature behaviour.
“People should be able to accept defeat and prepare for the next finals so that they can do better and win the coveted prize money other than blaming judges for their poor performance,” said Muronzi.
The dance competition was won by
Zina, who walked away US$2 000
richer, while Real Flex and Flip Floppers came out second and third respectively and they got certificates for their
efforts.
However, Muronzi praised the mature attitude showed by the Bulawayo dance group, Break Equation that came last in the competition.
“Break Equation sent us an sms praising us for staging a wonderful and entertaining show,” said Muronzi.
