League at Harare Sports Club.
The big match kicks off at 7pm today.
Both teams have played well this season and have won most of their games and are also having a balanced history over the past four years.
Old Georgians took the title last season after beating Harare Sports Club in the extra time of the final.
Harare Sports Club, have only lost once this season while champions Old Georgians won 13 out of the 15 matches they played.
Red Lions coach Cyprian Mandenge was yesterday upbeat that his boys would win the league after suffering a defeat at the hands of Old Georgians last season.
Mandenge said that they have been taking all their matches for this season seriously and will continue working together as a team.
“The boys played very well this season, they took their training seriously and are focused.
“They have been a well-organised team.
“I am confident that they will win after the hard week of training, they are ready for the big game,” said Mandenge.
Shingai Mpofu, Harare Sports Club captain believes that it is going to be an evenly balanced game.
“Obviously everyone is going into this game with the aim to win so we are going to be very focused.
“In our last training session we made sure that we identified some of the errors on our team and worked out the solutions.
“We managed to work on our backs and forwards.
“We made up a balanced team at the end of our training, therefore I am confident that the experience and adjustments made to the team will help us pull through and win,” said Mpofu.
While Harare Sports Club captain Mpofu is looking forward to the match Old Georgians flyhalf Grant Mitchell said he is happy with some changes that his team have made.
“We feel it is good that other players have also been given a chance to play in the final,” said Mitchell.
Some of the players that have joined the giants are Brendon Werrett, Martin Robert and Ryan Sprake while Fortune Chipendu and Njabulo Ndlovu are out of the team.
