The league debutants had a bad start falling to big teams like Dynamos and Highlanders in all their away matches.

The red and white shirted outfit, who had a controversial and long wait to gain promotion into the top-flight league after Tripple B had appealed to the soccer controlling body over the use of an ineligible player, finally got their act right when they collected their first set of points at home after beating Hwange 2-0.

The victories by Hardbody in their last meetings was a relief to Harrison Matimati and Takesure Sibanda who formed the team in 2004 as a social soccer club.

The team wants to survive relegation and that can only be achieved by winning at home and beating big clubs like Caps United if the world is going to believe in them, which makes Sunday’s tie very interesting.

Former Shabanie Mine striker, 30-year-old Michael Mageja, and Alick Marime, who was offloaded by FC Platinum, were on target in their first win over visiting Hwange.

The busmen then drew with Harare City before accounting for Chicken Inn 1-0 at home. They however lost points to Shabanie Mine and Gunners, all away, before suffering a shock defeat at the hands of Black Mambas.

Their 44-year-old coach Gumbo has seen it all after coaching Hwange, Shabanie Mine, Gaths Mine and Masvingo United. During his heydays he formed a formidable partnership with Isaac Riyano and Ishmael Flamengo at Shushine and it is in midfield where he normally destroys his opponents.

“Connor (Sean) will never win at Ascot Stadium when “Dread” is in charge. We are playing very well and our secret is the home fans who are coming out in numbers to cheer the only Premiership team in Gweru.

“I am also happy that most of the teams are finding it hard to adjust to our home ground and we are used to the turf.

“I have been finding it difficult to win away  but I am sending a bold message that very soon we will start winning and people should not underrate us as we are a force to reckon with in the Premiership,” said Gumbo.

Connor is still new to Zimbabwe football and relies on Lloyd Chitembwe who has vast experience in local soccer.

Former Chapungu hitman Callisto Maheya is dangerous upfront and with Richard Jongwe, Marime and Mageja, the busmen are not easy to stop at their Ascot Stadium home.

Former Caps United goalkeeper Alexander Useni  wants to prove that the Green Machine were wrong in disposing him.

On his day he can frustrate strikers and fans would want to see whether the likes of Evans Gwekwerere would be able to score past him.

Hardbody are lying on 13th position with only seven points from nine games.

Caps United, who were singing the blues in their opening matches, seem to have regained a rich vein of form.

The Harare giants are likely to miss the services of defenders David Sengu, Nyasha Mukumbi and Tapiwa Khumbuyani who are with the Warriors team that plays Mozambique over the weekend.

A full house is expected for the high-profile match.
