have said they are not under pressure to deliver.
The Harare side revealed that they want to build a formidable side, which should challenge for honours next season.
The team acquired a lot of seasoned players and loaned them to Premiership clubs.
They own players, such as Dynamos goalkeeper Washington Arubi and Murape Murape, Platinum Benjamin Marere and the Black Mambas duo of Peter Ndlovu and Fortune Ncube.
But yesterday technical manager Wilson Mutekede said his team, featuring a number of youthful players, should be given time.
“It is unfortunate that there was a lot of expectations on us because of the players we have but most of them have gone on loan elsewhere,” said Mutekede.
“But we have a young team and all our players are below 24.
“They are still young and we are working on building on a team.
“We are looking at coming up with a good team, which can challenge for honours next season.
“We don’t have any pressure pushing for promotion this season,” said Mtekede.
Highfield are yet to win a match in the Zifa Northern Region Division One league, which got underway a fortnight ago.
Tomorrow they host Harare City at Gwanzura.
The battle is also on at Trojan where Mwana Africa will host DC Academy.
The former Premiership side have won their opening two matches while DC Academy, owned by Warriors defender Dickson Choto, has managed one win and a draw.
Both teams play refreshing and attacking football and have a lot of young players.
