HUNDREDS of people thronged the Bulawayo Small City Hall yesterday as popular talk show host Mai Chisamba, recorded three shows in the city.

Mai Rebecca Chisamba was last in the city two years ago when her selected venue – Rainbow Cinemas proved too small. This time around, her venue selection was spot-on.

As early as eight in the morning, scores of people had gathered outside the hall patiently waiting for Mai Chisamba’s crew to invite them into the venue to start recording. At around 9.30AM they were allowed to enter the venue and it was quickly filled up.

Mai Chisamba’s followers were looking forward to making contributions to her first topic that had to do with the problems found in marriages.
During the show, participants thanked Mai Chisamba for travelling to Bulawayo and putting the spotlight on the city.

Her show’s response showed that the personality was a force ro reckon with and that she could be the reason why ZBC still has a following.

Said Mai Chisamba: “We appreciate the following in Bulawayo. It’s very good. People here are showing lots of love for the show proving correct ZAMPS’s findings on the show.”

The shows filmed in Bulawayo yesterday will be aired from October 30, and as per request by the show’s followers, Mai Chisamba said that the show will now be airing between 6 and 7PM starting this Sunday.

“The show’s followers requested that we change the time from 9PM because some said they miss some episodes as it’ll be a bit late. We requested for the move from ZBCtv and they granted us the slot,” she said.

The show seeks to address sensitive issues that trouble people while promoting ubuntu and rejuvenate Ndebele and Shona cultural values that are fast fading.
