INLINE Academy maintained their pole position in the Zifa Southern Region Women’s Football League with a 27-0 annihilation of Sobukhazi at Mzilikazi High School. It was also a black day for Blackboots, who lost 1-8 to Hearts of Oak. Highlanders Royals continued with their miserable run by going down 9-0 to a fired up New Orleans at the Bosso clubhouse. In Sizinda, Street Set got back to winning ways courtesy of a solitary strike from Faith Mpofu to collect maximum points at the expense of Magwegwe.

A Shellitar Zulu inspired ZRP Bulawayo routed Cowdray Park Queens 0-3, with Zulu scoring a hat trick. It was the same result at the Colliery where Nomazulu Tshuma’s hat trick gave Hwange Ladies a 3-0 victory over Borrow Jets. Tshuma has been in fine form since the start of the season.

It is the ruthlessness of Inline Academy, home to the Mighty Warriors’ duo of Nobuhle Majika and Rejoice Kapfumvuti, that has given rise to calls for the region to have a provincial league.
