Jah Prayzah’s death hoax which went viral on social networks over the weekend have inspired the contemporary musician to release a single titled Karunyerekupe.
Over the weekend, social media networks were awash with news that the musician was involved in a car crash and died on the spot on his way to Karoi for a show.
The devastated artiste yesterday said he was inspired to record the single which talks about rumours after his death hoax.
“As artistes we face a lot of things and some of these things inspire us. I am sure this single will be well received by my fans who were disturbed by the news of my death,” he said.

He however blasted the person who created the rumour saying it was bad for them to wish him dead.
“I was disturbed by the news I received during the weekend. How can someone seriously wish for someone’s death.

“Better wish for my poverty rather than death. It’s better that way because I will be alive at least. But when life gives you lemons what do you do? Squeeze them, add a little sweet ingredients and make lemonade from the sour fruit. I am going to enjoy drinking my lemonade when you thought I would not cherish the lemons. God is the only one who takes and gives life, not people,” he said.

Jah Prayzah is not the first victim to fall prey to death hoaxes in Zimbabwe as musicians, Winky D, Oliver Mtukudzi and dancer Bev have also been rumoured dead in the past. Early this year, Winky D was said to have dead after being poisoned, only to figure out it was a hoax. — Harare Bureau/Showbiz Reporter
