THE long wait is over as food chain Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) is finally opening its doors to the public in Bulawayo today after completion of the new Drive Through in Bradfield.

The American brand which is being franchised in Zimbabwe by Crispy Chicken Restaurants (Pvt) Limited said work on the brand new KFC is complete and they are ready to welcome foodies. The restaurant is situated at Bradfield Shopping Centre, corner Hillside Road and 23rd Avenue along Burns Drive.

“The brand new KFC is designed to world class standards and incorporates the stylish and most modern interior on the continent. “The brand KFC is delighted to bring in their unique blend of high quality products and service to the city as well as creating local jobs and supporting economic growth,” Crispy Chicken Restaurants said in a statement.

Interesting to note is that KFC has created meals specifically for the country to suit the local flavour and palate like Streetwise which one can have with sadza.

KFC which had closed its operations in Zimbabwe during the economic challenges in 2007, reopened in 2014 in Harare. The Bulawayo branch opening brings the number of KFC outlets to six in Zimbabwe with four restaurants in Harare and one in Victoria Falls. — @Kiyaz_Cool.
