FORMER Highlanders’ midfielder Rahman Kutsanzira has sent an emotional farewell message to Bosso fans, thanking them for their support during his six-and-a-half years at the club.

The 29-year-old attacking midfield left the Bulawayo giants to join Premier Soccer League champions FC Platinum, who will be participating in the Total Caf Champions League.

Kutsanzira penned a two-year deal with the Zvishavane-based platinum miners.

The former Bosso skipper took to Facebook to bid farewell to fans that helped him during his career at Highlanders and described his exit as one of the toughest decisions he had to make in life.

“I would like to bid farewell to this great club Bosso. I want to thank all the Bosso staff, teammates, coaches, managers for the time we spent working together and not forgetting the fans, who cheered me on from the day I set foot at Bosso. It was never easy to make this kind of decision, but I had to make it,” Kutsanzira wrote on his timeline.

“The memories I had at Bosso will forever be in my heart. The club shaped my career (and) made me grow to be what I am today and as such, I’m so grateful.”

Kutsanzira joined Highlanders in July 2009 before moving to Caps United in 2012. After two seasons with the Green Machine, he retraced his footsteps to the Bulawayo giants.

Following some top drawer performances in the middle of the park last season, Kutsanzira was appointed club vice-captain, deputising the club’s longest serving player Eric Mudzingwa. He was elevated to be one of the club’s co-captains later in the season.

Kutsanzira said he is looking forward to new challenges with the Zvishavane-based team.

“While some may not accept this decision, what remains is that I’m so grateful. The cups and medals received and won, being crowned one of the best players playing for this club is something I will forever cherish. Now it’s a different path with new experiences and new challenges. I’m hoping to grow in my career at FC Platinum, my new home,” Kutsanzira wrote.
