Let the party begin!Big bash planned for Zim BBA winner ‘Nibbles’

heartthrob and Nigeria’s Karen walked out of the house with US$200 000 each in a show that saw two winners for the first time.
Ironically, it was Karen who nicknamed Wendall “Nibbles” when she had a big crush on the pilot while in the house.

The gig scheduled for Fusion Nightclub in Borrowdale this Saturday will be a must attend as Wendall will be joined by Vimbai Mutinhiri, the other Zimbabwean housemate who, despite being evicted from the house a week before the finale, represented Zimbabwe well.
Both Wendall and Vimbai are expected to touch down at the Harare International Airport tomorrow and those who wish to welcome the duo are free to do so.

In a congratulatory message, former Big Brother All Stars housemate, Munyaradzi “The Diamond Boy” Chidzonga said it was time that a Zimbabwean won in the reality show.
“I want to congratulate him (Wendall) for winning and I have always had faith in him right from the start. He has completed the cycle and it was about time that a Zimbabwean won,” Chidzonga said.
Earlier, Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment Minister Saviour Kasukuwere applauded Wendall for hoisting the Zimbabwean flag high.
“We would like to congratulate Wendall, on behalf of Government and the youths in Zimbabwe, for his successful participation and victory in BBA House.

“Wendall performed exceptionally well and hoisted our flag high. We are proud of his achievement. We would like to call upon the nation to rally behind Wendall and expect a huge turnout at the Harare International Airport when he comes back.”
Liz Dziva, Multichoice Zimbabwe public relations manager, said Wendall played the game well and urged fans to turn up in their numbers to welcome him at the airport.

Former Miss Zimbabwe Vanessa Sibanda posted on Facebook saying that: “This is it, nothing is impossible if you are Zimbabwean. We are back in the system and 2011 is our year, congratulations to Wendall. I’m so unbelievably happy he has done us really proud. Queen Vanessa always Zimbabwean.”

During the early days of the show, Wendall played it low.
After being left to their own devices with a healthy supply of booze, the housemates wasted no time getting to know one another.

Many spent the night introducing and reintroducing themselves, while others preferred to play it safe and hang out in groups.
Most of the conversations in the House were peppered with “Who did you say you are again?” or “Where are you from by the way?”

Also known as the “virgin” in House, Wendall, however, came up with a few tricks of his own.
His win last night would surely pacify Zimbabweans who felt the Diamond Boy was robbed of the big prize at the last minute in last year’s edition.

Wendall is a pilot from Harare.
His favourite place in Zimbabwe is Kariba because he loves fishing and being in the sun with his friends.

According to his profile posted on show’s website, Wendall said the best thing about Zimbabwe is “absolutely everything – the people, how beautiful our country is and how much it has to offer the world”.

The best advice he ever received was “live each day as if it were your last” from his mother, along with “be grateful for everything and every opportunity you get in your life”.
He also entered Big Brother Amplified for the challenge and to represent Zimbabwe.

His favourite previous Big Brother contestant was Munyaradzi because of the way he represented Zimbabwe “and he came so close to winning”.
Wendall goes to the gym or socialises with his friends. His personal motto is “you win some, you lose some” and while he jokes that while he doesn’t have any specific special talents, “you never know what might come out on a crazy night in the house!”

Meanwhile, police had to be called in to control rowdy Big Brother Amplified fans after South African actor Luclay Misoya was evicted on Sunday night.
Many fans walked out from the Sasani Studios in Balfour Park, Johannesburg. A fan jumped on the stage when presenter IK announced Luclay’s eviction.
“No. It can’t be!” the crowd screamed as Luclay made his way to meet the other evicted housemates.

Housemates were shocked when they were all ordered to leave the house. Karen screamed her lungs out. There was unease as the top five sat on the stage.
One by one, they were interviewed and shown their highlights from the house. The crowd became almost uncontrollable with anger when IK made his way to Luclay.
Social networks Facebook and Twitter were abuzz with updates, with people expressing anger over Luclay’s eviction.
