“IT’S life, let’s get on with it,” these were the words uttered by the country’s two top football men, Philip Chiyangwa, the Zifa president and his deputy Omega Sibanda as they reacted to the Total African Nations Cup draw.

The draw, conducted in Gabon on Wednesday evening, saw Zimbabwe being paired against Africa’s top four sides, Senegal (ranked second), Algeria (third on the continent) and fourth ranked Tunisia.

Except for Tunisia, Zimbabwe has met and beaten the other two countries before but still a majority of observers believe the Warriors have been thrown into a lion’s den.

But Chiyangwa and his number two man, Sibanda believe those who will underrate Zimbabwe will be doing so at their own peril.

“It’s life, we just have to go through it, nothing is impossible,” said Chiyangwa while Sibanda said the same words before adding;

“I must say that it’s a fair draw, we can and we must make it,”

Their belief in the boys, together with that of former Warriors stars, Ronald Gidiza Sibanda and Bekithemba Super Ndlovu as well as skipper

Willard Katsande, will surely give the team the much needed confidence ahead of the showpiece.

The Warriors at the moment,  the last ranked team in the finals together with hosts Gabon, will be making their third appearance at the finals, having made their debut in 2004.

Algeria, who they meet in their opening match on January 15, will be making their 17th appearance. Their next opponent on January 19, Senegal, will be appearing for the 15th time while Tunisia who the Warriors play their last group game against, have 17 appearances.

The 2017 Total African Nations Cup finals will run from January 14 to February 5.
