July, as part of its social responsibility to the community around the centre and to revellers who frequent the place.
The birthday bash with a difference will be graced by sungura icon Alick Macheso and Tryson Chimbetu. The two are expected to thrill fans the whole day into the late hours of Sunday.
Macheso continues to show Tryson how it is done in the music industry following the frequency of shows that they now hold together.
By roping the young dendera musician for his shows, Macheso has helped Tryson – son to the late artiste Naison Chimbetu – raise his graph in music circles.
Tryson himself should be on cloud nine, what with a series of potentially explosive shows already in the pipeline with “Extrabasso”, which will see him partnering his mentor.
Tryson is without doubt gaining confidence with each outing and revellers are in for a memorable music voyage with “Cheso Power” and the Marxist Brothers frontman and his group at Colour Purple this Sunday.
Apart from these two crowd pullers, the show will also feature resident group of the joint, Venus Crew, led by Harare businesswoman Karen Madhake.
The show would also be a birthday bash for children born between June 25 and July 3.
“While the show is open to everyone who loves to make fun and enjoy the day with their families, it is also a show where people – including children – who were born between June 25 and July 3, to come and celebrate their birthdays while being entertained by their favourite musicians.
“The kids, their parents or guardians are free to come with birthday presents like cakes among others and enjoy together with other families during the show,” said Madhake.
She said the idea behind the show was to introduce something unique from what revellers have come to expect during family shows.
“Everyone is invited to come and celebrate with others during this family show,” she said.
This is not the first time that Macheso has performed at the joint that has become one of his favourite grounds of late.
The artiste is one of the many that have popularised the venue.
He is billed to unleash his string of hits like “Madhawu”, “Wemakonzo”, “Petunia”, as well as his recent songs like “Chimoko Changu” and “Tafadzwa” among others off his latest album “Zvinoda Kutendwa”.
Tryson, on the other hand, is basking in the glory of his latest album “Bvamrod”.
He is also billed to play renditions of some of his late father’s songs.
