BULAWAYO Amateur Football Association’s Madamara booked a place in the semi-finals of the Townshend and Butcher Tournament after a 5-0 win over BCC West Park. The Mzilikazi club joins defending champions Rebels as well as Golden Hotspurs and Safe Guard in the last four of the competition. An elated Madamara coach Petros Ngodzo praised his charges for their emphatic win and said they are ready to face the defending champions in the semi-finals.

“The team played well because we had really prepared for the encounter. What pleases me most is that even when we were leading 3-0, the guys never sat back as they continued attacking and showed hunger to win.

“I can say our target now is to go all the way to the final and win this tournament. We have been training hard in preparation to win the cup and Rebels should not underestimate us as we are an experienced side,” said Ngodzo.

BCC West Park had knocked out Chronicle Nga in the first round.
Meanwhile, Silas Sibanda, Bafa fixtures secretary said that all teams with outstanding fixtures should make sure that they play the matches to catch up with other teams in the league.
All Bafa outstanding league games will be played after the Townshend and Butcher semi-final final on Sunday.
