FITNESS guru Majaha Ndlovu who was with Highlanders FC last year could join Caps United next week. Joe Makuvire, the Caps United spokesperson confirmed yesterday that his club was chasing a fitness trainer. He said they were speaking to several fitness trainers with a view of finalising their choice soon.

“We’re exploring the possibility of a physical fitness trainer coming on board. A number of people have shown interest and at this stage no decision has been made,” said Makuvire.

For Ndlovu it will be a re-union with head coach Mark Harrison, Mark Mathe and Joel Ngodzo if the move sails through.

“I’ve spoken to Caps United and we’ve agreed terms. I will be joining them soon, what’s left is for me to tie a few loose ends here in Bulawayo and then go and start work,” said Ndlovu.

Ndlovu has previously worked with Harrison at Mpumalanga Black Aces in South Africa. He spoke highly of the English coach who guided both Mpumalanga Black Aces and Chippa United to the South African Premiership.

“Harrison is a good coach, we worked together at Mpumalanga Black Aces. He’s very professional and his technical approach to the game is impressive and people shouldn’t be surprised if Caps United go all the way to win big this season,” he said.

Ndlovu has worked with a couple of South African Premiership clubs and coaches. He has previously worked with Harrison’s assistant Mathe at Highlanders.

Ngodzo was a player at Bosso last year.

Ndlovu said he had in the past year learnt so much about Zimbabwean football.

“It was a learning experience for me. There are things may be I could’ve done wrong here and there, I’ve learnt from my exposure and practice here.

“I’m glad Caps United have given me an opportunity to work and I hope to have an impact in their turn-around aspirations. With Harrison and Mathe both of whom I’ve worked with before it would be easy for me to adjust to the demands of the job in Harare,” said Ndlovu whose fitness work has taken him to the US as well.
